Demanding route which starts from Lake Ledro, runs along the southern side of Valle di Ledro from Bocca dei Fortini to Tremalzo, descends along a steep road via Caset, runs through the valley and along Lake Ledro.
The highlights of the tour? The trenches and the military cemetery at Passo Nota, the botanic and natural heritage of Tremalzo, the bird ringing centre at Casèt, the view over Lake Ledro and Lake Garda and the landscapes in the mountains and on the valley floor.
Why not make a stop and learn something more about Valle di Ledro? The Pile-Dwelling Museum along the shores of Lake Ledro, the Monsignor Ferrari Visitor Centre in Tremalzo, the War Museum in Bezzecca and the Foletto Apothecary Museum in Pieve are well worth a detour.
Stretches of the path leading down from Caset are particulary bumpy and steep.
On the way down, please be particularly mindful of hikers.
Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.
Follow the cycling path from Pieve to Pur. Continue along the asphalt road to Molina. Shortly before reaching the Pile-Dwelling Museum, turn right into Via di Pastei and cycle uphill towards Bocca dei Fortini, at first on asphalt, then on dirt road. Take the old, rather flat, military road towards Passo Nota. Continue to Tremalzo alternating flat stretches and light ascents/descents. From the pass, cycle downhill to Rifugio Garibaldi, turn right and take the forestry road leading to Bocca Caset. At the fork turn left into the steep path leading down to Tiarno di Sopra. Return to Pieve along the cycling path.
