Flowers and trenches, alpine meadows and wonderful views over the lake.
This route passes through an inaccessible area and is therefore closed.
As it unfolds on forestry road for the most part, this route is suited to less experienced bikers. The forestry road leads up from Pieve to Dromaè, located between Cima Oro and Cima Parì, two of the highest mountains in Valle di Ledro. The final stretch of the route runs along the turquoise green shores of Lake Ledro.
In Spring, the meadows fill up with peonies, daffodils and orchids and Dromaè serves as the location of the local flowering festival. During the Great War, Valle di Ledro was part of the front between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Italy. In Dromaè, along the Coste di Salò, trenches and fortifications from that time are still visible today.
On the way down, please be particularly mindful of hikers.
